One of the main challenges in fulfilling the ‘Make in India’ drive is the successful technical progress of an Innovative idea or a ready to use R&D to its full fledged Application in small-scale industries. Government of India has set up DSIR or MSME led programs like TePP, PRISM etc for funding such endeavors by individuals, startups or small/medium/micro-scale industries. On the other hand, the progress along the Application development route has many hurdles some very specific to developing countries like India.
In the case of developmental projects in the area of New Materials and their Processing technologies, there is a lack of viable access to technical consultation, Testing and Characterization or Laboratory facilities for Proof of Concept type experimentation or feasibility studies.
Over the last fifteen years, Advanced Materials Consultants (AdMats) has experimented with providing support to take care of some of the above aspects of the Application development at small-scale industries, in the area of New Materials Technologies. It is now positioned to provide consultancy services of various kinds at different stages of the Application development chain such as shown above.
